The other day, I decided to watch the movie Bridesmaids. Now, one of my friends highly recommended this movie to me. Why not, right?
In short, this movie was one of the most pointless I have ever seen. I honestly don't want to be hating on it, but it's just that bad.
When I watched the first scene, I thought I picked the wrong movie, and was watching porn instead. The first five minutes of this is literally this big sex scene, almost completely irrelevant to the plot and the movie itself. I get that it is a rated R movie, but still people. Not every movie in the universe has to have that.
What I actually found quite amusing was when the main character, Annie, climbed on top of an automatic gate and slowly moved. That was probably the only remotely funny part about this movie.
What I found absolutely, without a doubt gross was when all the girls got food poisoning, and puked in the bathroom. I mean, you actually saw the ooze come out of their mouths! It wasn't funny at all. As a matter of fact, it was the worst part of the movie.
Now, I really don't want to be all hating on this movie. It was OK, if you like porn and gross puking scenes. The message of the movie was sweet and heartfelt. The message was to be confident in yourself and that friendship overcomes all (I had no idea THAT would be the turnout from the first 5 minutes).
Anyway, I give Bridesmaids a 2.5 out of 5. To be fair, it did have its moments (like when Lillian and Annie are friends again, and when that sweet police officer forgives Annie).
Thanks for reading!

Neon Trees
Ah...first post. And what's a better first-post than your favorite band? Yep, that's right, people. Today, Green Apples will review the band Neon Trees.
You've probably heard their radio single "Animal" from one time or another. They're an alternative rock band from Provo, Utah with origins from California, and have been touring North America with The Killers. The band was formed by Tyler Glenn (vocals & keyboards) and Chris Allen (guitar & vocals). Other members include Branden Campbell (bass) and Elaine Bradley (drums).
Their music varies, which is good for a band that's just starting out. For example, their song In The Next Room (video below) starts out with a jazzy, more classic-type feel. Their single 1983 (video also below) is a more edgy, punk-rock song.
Looks are also a big thing for Neon Trees - Tyler Glenn's signature mohawk, and Elaine's crazy hair. You may not have heard much of them, but they have big things coming for them. And you heard it first, on Green Apples!
